The Natural Beauty of Beet Hummus
With warm temps approaching this week, simple, delicious, quick fixes like this hummus are on our priority list.

Beet powder, beet juice, and fermented beet juice, which we regularly consume, have garnered significant attention in alternative culinary circles over the past few years and remain prominent in the holistic community due to research highlighting beets as a potent and natural source of nitrates.
Nitrates included in beets are converted to nitric oxide, which benefits the cardiovascular system and regulates blood pressure. Having nothing to lose, we shall persistently remain beet eaters.
During autumn and winter, we either roast beets in the oven or steam them in our pressure cooker for soups. During spring and summer, we consume them in hummus, juice them, and incorporate them into salads. I frequently consume a steamed or roasted beet as one would as apple. It is remarkable how a small, firm, spherical root can nourish our bodies!
If this recipe looks familiar, it first appeared in my Gluten-free Delicious ebook, (published 2019), available on Amazon. It’s been a pretty solid staple in my recipe rotation, since.
